Okay, I have been going back and forth about writing a blog. I started a few months ago, but felt like I had no inspiration. Yes, 5 kids are inspiration, but I needed more! I realized today that I am at the start of what could be the most stressful yet rewarding adventure. I have taken a few college classes here and there. But now that I am no longer able to bare children (lol), I decided I should really buckle down and get this darn thing taken care of. Stress, Homework, Kids, Cooking, Cleaning= Inspiration!!!
I am working on getting my teaching credential. I could list countless reasons why becoming a Teacher is a good career path for me and my family, but there is one that just sums it all up: My love for children. Anyways, I got over-excited about this semester and wanted to take all the TECA (Child Development & Family Studies) classes I could. Did I read the requirements for each class.....nah! Will I make that mistake again.....HELL NO! I have 3 TECA classes all 3 require 16 hours of External Field Study, which means I need to sit in on and observe 48 HOURS of elementary school!!!!
I sent the sweetest email to Mrs. Brenz (principal at Yeager Elementary), and very graciously asked to complete my hours at Yeager. And thank goodness.....her secretary is working it out for me!!! I think I will have enough "inspiration", if you will, at the end of these 48 hours to fill 100 blogs! So stay tuned for future blogs about how I plan to handle, 5 kids, 1 husband, 1 Daisy Girl Scout Troop, Sports, Keeping Up On My TV Shows :), Teaching 1 Catholic Faith Formation Class, and College!!!!
